Supplies: - Two mason jars with lids (or any matching jars) - Drill with 1 / 8 in. drill bit - Glue that adheres metal - Sand

First, glue the tops of the lids together and let them dry overnight. Second, mark the middle of the lids with a sharpie and using the 1 / 8 in. drill bit, drill a hole all the way through the adjoined lids. Third, fill one of the jars about three-quarters full with sand. I decided to use co- balt blue sand for a pop of color! There are many sand color options at your local craft store, so have fun with it. Once you’re done

adding the sand, put the lid on the jar with the sand and twist the empty lid on top securing the jars together. I decided to add another texture and pop of color by wrapping the middle (around the lids) with turquoise jute. You could also spray paint the lids as another option to add color! Once you’re done you have a unique and custom hour glass. Make sure you time the sand so you

can actually use it to time an hour! Abbie, The Marshall Made Co. marshallmadeco.com
