jeunes issus de 40 écoles francophones de l’Ontario envahiront l’ESCP pendant qua- tre jours. Six glaces d’improvisation seront installées où 124 matchs d’improvisation seront présentés. Il s’agit également d’un premier accueil du tournoi L’AFOLIE pour Plantagenet qui abrite l’équipe Les Infutiles. Celle-ci est pilo- tée depuis plusieurs années par l’enseignant Nicolas Lacelle. Ce qui ajoute une touche de prestige à cette édition est la présence de l’humoriste Julien Tremblay qui agira à titre de porte- parole. « Je suis très heureux parce que l’improvisation a été une grosse partie de ma vie. Vingt-cinq ans d’improvisation en français, ça se fête en grand », a-t-il sou- ligné. Julien Tremblay est originaire de Re- pentigny mais il a grandi dans la commu- nauté de Hawkesbury. Il a d’ailleurs fait ses débuts en humour sur les bancs de l’École secondaire catholique de Hawkesbury. Il s’alignait jadis avec l’équipe La Connexion Française de l’école. Certains seront peut- être surpris d’apprendre que Julien Trem- blay n’a pas toujours été aussi ouvert dans le passé. C’est son enseignant à l’école St- Jean-Baptiste, Viateur Parisien, qui lui a pro- posé l’improvisation. « Ça a vraiment eu une influence sur moi. C’est avec l’impro que la peur du ridicule s’est estompée. En plus de me concentrer dans les cours, je pouvais faire le fou sur la glace », a confié Julien Tremblay. Celui-ci a également eu l’occasion de rencontrer l’enseignant Nicolas Lacelle. « Nicolas Lacelle est un homme dévoué. C’est un gars qui veut redonner ce qu’il a reçu au secondaire et il le fait avec brio. Je l’ai vu quand je suis allé passer une journée à l’école avec lui à Plantagenet. J’ai vu com- ment les élèves le regardent, comment les élèves lui parlent. Ils ont énormément de respect pour cet homme-là et aussi beau- coup d’amour. C’est le genre de prof dont tu te rappelles plusieurs années après l’école. » Le tournoi L' AFOLIE accueillera aussi une quinzaine d’artistes professionnels.
