Resource mobilisation by mutual funds continues rising trend In FY16, the gross mobilisation of resources by all mutual funds stood at Rs 137.7 trillion, as against Rs 110.9 trillion in the preceding year. This translates into a 24.2% increase as compared y-o-y. Correspondingly, redemption increased by 24.1% to Rs 136.3 trillion in FY16 from Rs 109.8 trillion in FY15. Consequently, the net resources mobilised by mutual funds stood at 1,341.8 bn as compared to Rs 1,032.9 bn in FY15, reflecting an increase of 29.9%. The Assets under Management (AUM) of mutual funds, across schemes, continued its upward trend in FY16. It increased by 13.9% to Rs 12.3 trillion in FY16, from Rs 10.8 trillion in FY15.
