A bag capable of carrying several A4 sized exercise books A pencil case complete with Blue/Black Pens
Pencil Eraser Sharpener Ruler Compass Casio Scientific calculator (these can be purchased from the Maths Team) A highlighter Green pen Conduct card - issued termly Phone pouch - issued upon joining the school All students are expected to carry a bag complete with this equipment. Students are set homework at The Wellington Academy. This will be set once a week, once a fortnight, or monthly, depending on how many lessons your child has of that subject (the more lessons per week of a subject, the more frequent the homework). The homework takes different forms. It may be: Preparatory homework - this is to support students with preparing for future lessons i.e. a piece of research on a topic they are about to study. Consolidation homework - this helps build and consolidate on learning completed in lessons. Investigatory homework - a project or enquiry that helps to extend learning further.
Teachers ensure that homework set is appropriate, engaging, and manageable for students.
