ber (335/30/18). The front wheel arches needed to be modified to fit the stance/tires, the inner fender panels were smoothed, the floor pan was lowered two inches under the front seats, many of the seams have been welded, the rear had the ‘Cuda shaved, a beautiful Gator Skin top was affixed, and the option- al rear wing was added. Donnie Horton straight- ened everything out and laid down the red mist paint with extra pearl. The interior is filled with IDID- IT steering, Alpine/Kicker tunes, American Autowire wiring, the center console from a third-gen Gran Coupe, and fully upholstered factory HellCat seats (hence the dropped floor pan). Leadfoot Upholstery matched the center console, rear seats, and every-

thing else to the HellCat seats. Rodding of any kind is about taking something you own and love and making it better. The Morrises added tons of power, a completely different chassis, and changed the basic interior layout quite a bit. I can see why mid-project the original owner was worried, but the Morris family loves everything ‘Cuda and the resulting car also looks 100-percent ‘Cuda. I’ve said it before and will say it again, I love the way old cars look, but they aren’t sacrosanct, so if you want to make it better and are willing to put the time, invest, and put up with pitfalls, do it! I love the style of Joey’s ’70 and can’t wait to see what comes out of The Butcher Shop next. MARCH 2026 65
