MICHEAL SILVA Micheal Silva from Gallup, New Mexico, spends his days cruising in the ‘shop car’ that was given to the shop by Grant Fouts. Micheal and his partner Steven run “66 Customs Garage.” The ’55 Chevy is black over butternut yellow, has a factory ’56 interior in yellow and black, sits slammed on Ridetech suspension front and rear, has CPP disc brakes up front, uses 350ci SBC power backed up by a 700R4, and spins chrome Cragars wearing Mickey Thompson rubber. Love the shop car and we’ll have to stop by next time we are cruising down I40.
ANNA DECKER We are huge fans of the Chevy Luv and can’t explain it, so we were excited to see Anna Decker’s ’79 Luv. Anna acquired it because it was abandoned on her uncle’s property. The little Luv is mostly stock mechanically with 1.4 liters of Isuzu fury feeding a four-speed and the factory suspension sits slammed thanks to AJ Vigil. The well-detailed chassis is powder- coated Raspberry Pink and spins chrome steelies with whites and baby moons. Adam’s upholstery did the interior in pink and baby blue, and Anna added chrome heart-shaped exhaust tips. We can’t wait to see the truck finished, but we will miss seeing the shocking undercarriage.
BRANDON CARDINALLI Brandon Cardinalli from Helendale, California, loves rodding and bouncing around in his ’68 Volkswagen Baja Beetle. Brandon comes from a rodding family and as you can see, he is a NSRA Southwest Division Safety Team member. Being a Safety Team member is a great way to get involved for rodders of all ages. The Baja Bug runs a big crank and big bore 2,332cc VW flat- four, BFG All-Terrians on steel Star wheels, custom fenders, no running boards, a healthy lift, and a half dozen off-road lights without a roll bar in sight. Keep on having fun and we’ll see you on the road.
