body. Noses had disappeared, ears were gone, fingers had been de stroyed by this terrible disease. That day I was speaking on the subject of the return of Christ. I came to this wonderful truth. There was one dear woman who did not have any fingers. She spoke to the lady next to her as if to say, "Did you hear that? We are going to be like Jesus! Someday we will have bodies that are complete and whole. We will be like Christ." The Lord Jesus' return will be followed by the judgment seat of Christ. This will be the time when the presentation of rewards to those who have faithfully repre sented Him will be given. There
will be the Incorruptible Crown for self denial (I Cor. 9:25); the Crown of Life for those who endure trials (Jam. 1:12); the Crown of Glory for those who feed the flock (I Pet. 5:4); the Crown of Rejoicing for those who have won the lost to the Lord Jesus (I Thess. 2:19); and the Crown of Righteousness for those who have loved His appear ing (II Tim. 4:8). You are a candi date for all of these crowns if you know Christ as Saviour. I trust through His power and by His grace there will be many who shall someday stand before Jesus Christ and receive these rewards. May you hear His, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
GOD'S HERO Not on the gory field of fame their noble deeds were done, Not in the sound of earth's acclaim their fadeless crowns were won, Not from the palaces of kings, nor fortune's sunny climb, Came the great soul's whose life work flings luster 'ore earth and time, For truth with tireless zeal they sought and joyless paths they trod, Heedless of praise or blame they wrought and left the rest to God. The lowliest fear was not disdained where love could sooth or save, They went by fearless faith sustained, nor knew their deeds were brave. The foes with which they waged their strife, were passion, self and sin. The victories that lore of life were fought and won within, Not names in gold enblazen here, and great and good confessed, In heaven's immortal scroll appear as noblest and as best, No sculptured stone and stately temple proclaim their rugged lot, Like Him who was their great example, this vain world knew them not, But though their names no poet wove, in deathless song or story, Their record is inscribed, above their wreaths are CROWNS OF GLORY.
