STUDENT TESTIMONIALS

I chose this course in my early days at the NHS to develop skills aligned with my role and future objectives. The modules were directly relatable to my daily work. The course broadened my knowledge, covering Welsh Government strategy, VBHC, and Prudent Principles, with practical applications in my role. The interactive aspects allowed me to use tools in my day-to-day work, problem-solve collaboratively, and share experiences with peers and staff. Through the course, I’ve met wonderful people—staff and fellow students—who I know will continue to be part of my career and life beyond its completion.

KELLY WHITE Service Delivery Manager for Prevention and Wellbeing, Hywel Dda University Health Board

The experience has been both challenging and rewarding and has enhanced my knowledge, academic skills, and provided practical tools to support innovation in the sector. The work-based project gave the opportunity for me to put everything I have learnt into practice by implementing digital care planning in the workplace to improve the efficiency of the service and improving outcomes for citizens. This course enabled me to progress in my career, as a Senior Improvement Manager.

CAROL HAAKE Registered Reablement Manager, Vale of Glamorgan Council

Choosing to study healthcare management was a deliberate decision to expand my knowledge beyond patient consultations. The course’s accreditation by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and its recognition as a cutting-edge programme were key factors. The inclusion of CPD points from The CPD Standards Office reinforced its value. The experience on the course was intense and impactful, with the acquired frameworks and tools being highly valuable. The standout aspect was the amazing support system provided by the staff. Interactions were exceptional, offering academic support, validating personal experiences as teaching tools, and providing outstanding non-academic guidance. Learning new management tools and techniques in this supportive environment made the journey worthwhile.

PRINCE CHIBUEZE UCHEAGWU IBE Full-time International Student

I chose Swansea University for its exceptional academic resources and the unique setting, with a beach right on campus. Working with the School of Management team, the Bevan Commission, and the Intensive Learning Academy has been a remarkable opportunity. My expert supervisors have provided invaluable support, and I’ve built a strong network both locally and internationally. The challenge, development opportunities, and intellectual stimulation of the programme are invigorating, offering a perfect balance to my clinical work.
