INTENSIVE LEARNING ACADEMY PROGRAMME

The All-Wales Intensive Learning Academy for Innovation in Health and Social Care at Swansea University is part of the Intensive Learning Academy (ILA) Programme created by the Welsh Government’s A Healthier Wales, the long-term plan for Health and Social Care in Wales. The ILAs support the professional capability and system leadership which is fit for the challenges for health and social care systems today and tomorrow.

The Academies are established by Welsh Universities and act as hubs in priority policy or challenge areas. A ‘case based’ approach to learning and teaching, and creative thinking, grounded in practical learning is

encouraged. The education programmes are informed by the latest research and evidence with experience shared across countries and sectors. Our Academy works closely with colleagues in the other three Academies: • Value-Based Health & Care Academy (Swansea University) • Academy for Health Equity, Prevention and Wellbeing (Bangor University) • Digital Transformation (University of South Wales) INTENSIVE LEARNING ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING As part of the ILA, our grant funding from the Welsh Government allows us to offer limited scholarships to professional learners from across Wales in health and Social Care, the NHS and Third Sector organisations for our educational programmes.

Visit our dedicated scholarship page for latest funding updates, deadlines and for more information on the application process.
