BROLL ASSISTS GRADUATES IN 2022 ENTERING THE PROPERTY SECTOR
Broll Auctions and Sales is playing its part in curtailing South Africa’s high unemployment rate with the introduction of a graduate placement programme in conjunction with Wits University. “Today higher education is no longer a guarantee for getting a job, and many graduate programmes don’t have programmes to place their students, either for internships or once they have qualified,” said Norman Raad, Broll Auctions and Sales CEO. “Broll wants to create a platform to feed into the property sector, and we have part- nered with Wits University to offer internships to graduate in economics and property management.” The programme has kicked off with three students, who will be trained as property valuers, analysts and brokers. Broll aims to grow this number to 10 over time, while giving the graduates practical, on-the-job experience. “With poverty and unemployment rife in South Africa, creating employment aligns with government’s development priorities, and Broll is happy to play a role in supporting economic growth in the country through this programme.”
