Expect a heifer bull, cow bull, steers that are thick topped at sale time. Many chase for single traits, in every breed generally end up being a wreck. Purebred breeders, for decades, have been guilty of single trait selec- tion, whatever the trait is. Commercial producers get caught in a web - our statement 40 years ago was balance in all areas, that hasn’t changed yet, and I doubt if it will!!
