Fink Beef Genetics - Fall Bull Sale [10/18/25]

Bull Buyer Information (Continued) SCROTAL * Because of catalog deadlines, we cannot get scrotal measurements in the catalog.

2025 COOPERATORS Since 1989 we have worked closely with cooperator herds on em- bryo implantation in expanding our numbers. This includes com- merical operations that run Fink females. This has proven to be a workable option for both parties. We believe the beef business is about working together. In some cases the breeders may show other than Fink on the registration certificate, but rest assured they are guaranteed with the same genetics, service and conditions. Any problems, should they occur, will be handled by Finks. *Since 1994 we have retained a semen interest in every bull sold. You own 100% of the bull and full salvage value. We may want to collect a bull at our expense and your convenience to use in our program. Any potential semen sales will be split 50/50 along with any costs. Please call for more details. ACTUAL INFORMATION We have not included actual weights for many years on birth or wean- ing. We will have weights on the bull’s sale day. Due to our large embryo program- a high use of proven sires the best info to use is the EPD’s. This allows genetic influence. (Ex: a calf that sucks 3 cows and has a huge weaning weight- just more milk- not from genetics necessarily). LIVE DISCUSSION Live discussion on several topics on our website. We call a spade a spade of how we build our program and give you our thoughts on many issues. Thank you to the following individuals: Thank you to Dr. Tony Hawkins, Prairie Valley Vet Clinic, Blue Rap- ids, Kansas for all our health work. He is always on the cutting edge with information and advice plus he has a great set of co- workers Beau Wassenberg, Taylor Jones and Chloe Voet!

Freeze Branding Update To stop harrassment from basically one customer, we are including our “far from exact research” on using liquid nitrogen vs dry ice and alcohol - why??? * Dry ice is getting harder to find and expensive. * Nitrogen application is approx. 6 times faster. * Make use of sheep head blades (cut through hair and dirt) Data from 30 plus years ago all suggest using nitrogen, regular clipper blades, and “yearling” age cattle for 20 seconds. We discovered (or think) that time frame may be to long. SO FAR - what we have tried in general Temp Kind of Blades Feb. 2019 4” numbers held on for 20 seconds (many scared brands) 45 o sheep head and regular blades June 2019 4” numbers held on for 13 sec/split 6 sec. each 84 o sheep head blades Feb. 2020 4” numbers held on for 8 seconds 52 o sheep head blades June 2020 misplaced these records Feb. 2021 4” numbers held on 6 second 38 o sheep head blades June 2021 4” numbers held on for 6-8 seconds 80 o sheep head blades June 2022 4” numbers held on 4-6 seconds 72 o sheep head blades Jan. 2023 2” & 4” numbers held on 8 seconds June 2023 2” numbers held on 4-8 seconds 87 o sheep head blades August 2024 2” numbers held on 8-10 seconds 85 o surgical, reg. & sheep head blades August 2025 2” numbers held on 6 seconds 86 o sheep head blades Most were 9-10 months of age.
