For many of us, 2020 brought more change and adjustment than any year we can remember. Has there ever been a year like it? There’s no doubting it, life changed across the country, and we felt that change strum the heartstrings of Music City. For an entire year, Nashville took its music indoors. We still came together as we “Nashvillians” always do, but we kept to isolated, household circles. We lived the songs of our lives from our homes while we prepared meals for our families, advanced our careers via video calls, exercised and socialized from home, and got our fresh air on socially-distanced neighborhood walks. In 2020, Nashville residents put more time and energy into finding out what it meant to be at home.
