Buchanan Hauling & Rigging was founded in June 1996 by Geary Buchanan . At the time , Geary was an owner operator with 24 years of experience in the trucking industry . He started the company with one truck , two trailers , and dreams to supply quality transportation at a fair market rate , build long - lasting business relationships , and provide high - quality jobs to drivers and owner operators .

Buchanan Hauling started out providing flatbed , open deck transportation . We quickly expanded our services to include expedited flatbed service and the heavy haul market with multiple axle trailers hauling oversize and overweight cargo . Due to customer demand , our fleet grew to include our van or enclosed trailer fleet , drop decks and curtainsides . With increased business , Buchanan Hauling expanded into a full service logistics company , handling all types of commodities , projects , and freight moves throughout the United States , Canada , and Mexico . Our logistics group has the expertise , technology , and industry contacts to manage shipments of any size , frequency , and instance .

N E C K & D E C K T R A I L E R The Neck & Deck trailer is a 100 ton unit that allows for multiple configurations dependent on the needs of the load . For loads up to 135000 # this trailer is usually configured in a 13 axle configuration . Loads in excess of 135000 #, the unit is usually configured using our dual lane dollies . The possibilities are truly endless with this trailer ! This unit can handle a load from 10 ’ to 100 ’ long in the well and the width will open up to 18 ’ 1 ” inside the frame . This unit is designed to be used with 6 ” of ground clearance and offers hydraulics for navigating varying road conditions . Crossmembers can be added ; Buchanan offers a 12 ” option and a 6 ” option .

Approximately one half of the growing fleet at Buchanan Hauling & Rigging consists of closed van trailers. Professional drivers utilize this equipment to handle full loads from start to finish, stop off or multiple destination loads, and volume LTL (less than truck load) deliveries.
All over the road vans , whether plate or standard , are equipped with logistics posts / e - track , air - ride and are 53 ' long . The average age of our van trailer fleet is less than 3 years old .
Buchanan Hauling & Rigging has both plate and standard ( sheet & post ) van trailers . Plate trailers have an inside width of 101 ", where our standard vans have a width of 100 ", and both have an inside height of 110 ".
Buchanan van trailers meet all specifications required to allow our customers to move a wide variety of freight both reliably and safely.
