T his summer, the Healdsburg Prune Packers are on a drive for a fifth straight championship in the Pacific Empire League. Their 19–5 league record and 33–5 overall mark clinched another playoff berth—but they’re not just winning games, they’re commanding them. Team CEO Natalie Norman (who also serves as league president) credits fans with much of the team’s accomplishments. “Community engagement is the heartbeat of our success,” she says. “Packed stadiums energize players, local businesses thrive and our nonprofit network channels that passion into tangible impact.”

She’s also quick to acknowledge the value of attracting top players through a culture of winning and ensuring coaches keep strong ties with scouts. “League-wide tech like Trackman boosts development, while stunning locations and high-caliber coaching—such as our very own local Joey Gomes’ winning legacy with the Packers—keep talent thriving and returning," Norman says. And the team? They’re playing every inning like the story’s just getting good. (At press time, the Packers were readying for a three-game league championship series against the rival Humbolt Crabs.) Here are a few photos from a recent game against the South Bay Storm. (The Packers came out on top 22-1!)
