5.5.3 Inspect And Clean Air Solenoid Valve The function of this valve is to interrupt the supply of compressed air to the painting equipment when the booth is not operating as designed or if any booth doors are open.
Prevent serious injury. Turn off electrical power, depressurize valve, and vent fluid to a safe area before servicing valve. WARNING
The time between cleanings varies depending on the medium and service conditions. If voltage to coil is correct, sluggish valve operation, excessive noise or leakage indicates that cleaning is required. Clean strainer or filter when cleaning valve. Thoroughly clean all parts. If parts are worn or damaged, install a complete rebuild kit. Follow instructions included with air solenoid valve.
