Parlement en tant que député d'arrière-ban avant d'être nommé secrétaire parlemen- taire du ministre de l'Agriculture en 2021, un poste qu'il occupe depuis lors. M. Drouin est également président de l'Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie depuis 2020. Récemment, le Parti conservateur a fait des percées dans des circonscriptions qui pourraient être considérées comme fortement libérales, notamment Glengarry- Prescott-Russell, alors que l’opinion publique à l’égard du Premier ministre Trudeau et du Parti libéral s’effrite à l’échelle nationale. Selon les données de sondage récemment agrégées par 338Canada, la circonscription de M. Drouin va probablement basculer du côté conservateur lors des élections de 2025, le parti de Pierre Poilievre ayant 70 % de chances de l’emporter.
Francis Drouin, député libéral de Glengarry-Prescott-Russell depuis 2015, ne se représentera pas. M. Drouin a déclaré à Radio-Canada qu'il avait perdu sa passion pour la politique, précisant que les dernières années ont été extrêmement difficiles pour sa famille. M. Drouin a toutefois précisé que son retrait de la politique fédérale n'avait rien à voir avec la plus récente controverse dans laquelle il a qualifié certains de ses collè- gues du Comité de l'agriculture de « pleins de merde ». M. Drouin a indiqué qu'il avait annoncé son intention au premier ministre Justin Trudeau en mars dernier. L'homme politique né à Hawkesbury a passé la plupart de ses neuf années au

opportunities with other municipalities for mutual support and benefit. The plan says the City wants to streng- then community cohesion by consistently engaging the community to keep the “pulse of its needs and aspirations,” by promoting active citizenship to strengthen attachment
and contribution to the community and fostering the growth of community organi- zations that bring about positive impact in Clarence-Rockland. Keep an eye out on the City’s social media channels as it unveils each strategy of the plan.
Now that the City of Clarence-Rockland has adopted its strategic plan, which provides a roadmap emphasizing the priorities for Clarence-Rockland over the next four years, staff are vowing to keep the public updated and informed as much as possible through the entire process. Throughout the course of the summer, the City of Clarence-Rockland will provide resi- dents across the municipality with updates and information regarding the plan, which highlights the priorities for Clarence-Rockland from 2024 through 2028. The City of Clarence-Rockland’s Chief Administrative Officer Pierre Voisine said the City’s most recent strategic plan was developed for a the six-year period between 2015 to 2021 and was due for an update. City staff initiated a number of activities with a goal of interacting with residents in order to determine their strategic priorities for Clarence-Rockland. City employees met with residents in restaurants, schools, golf tournaments and community events, which gave them a chance to provide their input on Clarence- Rockland’s priorities over the next four years. “A big portion of this plan is community GFFECBDL uTBJE7PJTJOFi8IFOXFXFSF consulting the public, we tailored questions to get as much information on the strengths, weaknesses and really, what they wanted UPTFF/PX XFBSFDPNJOHCBDLUPUIF community and saying, ‘this what you told us,’. What the plan details The City’s 2024-2028 strategic plan is highlighted by strategies focusing on balanced growth, high quality services and community cohesion, while still balancing residential, commercial and industrial growth through community values, expectations, and quality of life. The City said the plan will support growth by evidence-based decision-making, regular progress monitoring and reporting.
