RESEARCH SPOTLIGHT: PROFESSOR HAFIZ HOQUE, PROFESSOR IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE Professor Hafiz Hoque’s research focuses on the intersection of real-world problems and corporate finance issues. He has an extensive publication record with over 25 publications in 4* and 3* ABS listed journals along with over 1200 citations. He is the Director of the Hawkes Centre for Empirical Finance. His current research interest includes director’s network, credit default swaps, green innovation, corporate misconduct, pay transparency, climate change and finance, and ESG. He has attracted significant grant incomes over the last ten years. He has supervised 10 PhD students to completion and loves welcoming interesting PhD applications.
