Jam the rails in Rockland this weekend
of flurries, and it is the first major fundrais- ing event in the works for Phase 2 of the Rockland Skatepark Committee’s plans for the local recreational facility. East Swell Board Shop and the committee are hosting the event, which kicks off the rails at 1 p.m. For competitors, entry is $10 while spectators can watch for a donation of whatever amount of money they care to offer. Registration for the event is at the East Swell Board Shop on Laurier Street. There are two divisions for novice entrants and two divisions for advanced competition.

The first Rail Jam Competition is sched- uled for Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Planche- drome Joël Gauthier Skatepark at Parc Si- mon across from the L’Escale high school on Du Parc Avenue.
