GROWING IN THE GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD
You wouldn’t bring a new born baby home from the hospital and say , “Wel l kid! Make yourself at home. The kitchen is out there and the bathroom is down that hall!”— No, babies need nurturing care. Well, as a new baby Christian, the same is true of you. There’s a lot of growing ahead of you and it takes time. One of the best ways to grow is to see if you can find an older mature Christian, whom you respect, with whom you can meet with regularly to talk, to study the Bible together, to pray, to share problems and concerns, and encourage one another to grow in Christ. Try to get connected with a church that preaches the Bible. Pray that the Lord will lead you to the right church. Listen to your heart. Do you feel the love of Christ there? (John 13:35.) Finding the right church is sort of like trying on a new pair of shoes. Shop around
