to fade and soon darkness began to replace the color. A feeling of sadness came over me: “O, if only it could have lasted!” Or, have you ever been to a music concert filled with your favorite type of music? For two or three hours it seems as though you are suspended in time. Then what happens? The lights come on and it’s over. Again, that little arrow pierces your heart, and you think: “ O, how I wish it could have lasted longer !” Or, do you recall your first feelings of romantic love, possibly in high school, and your heart would go thump, thump, thump when this guy or gal passed you? Question: what happens if you marry that person? Hopefully, your heart still goes thump, thump, thump some of the time, but you discover he snores, or she can’t cook , etc. In other words, things are never quite the same. Some of the romance fades.
