Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: we make no distinction...” (Surah 3:84). Yet, the Qur’an also teaches that the Bible has been corrupted, and that it is not to be believed. [Surah 2:75-79]. As one compares the Qur’an with the Bible , there are very few similarities between them. Islam simply does not harmonize with historic Christianity or Judaism, as it should if Muhammad was really in the same biblical line of prophets as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Further, the Qur’an contradicts virtually everything that the writers of the Old Testament wrote, as well as much of what Jesus and the apostles taught and wrote. For example, the central theme of the entire New Testament is that Jesus was crucified and died to pay for the sins of all people in order to provide mankind with a way to be forgiven.
