Belief In A God You Can't See

The same principle is true of Bible translations. Some translations are paraphrased for younger readers. Some are translated idea for idea. Others are translated more literally word-for- word from the Greek and Hebrew into English making them a bit stiffer and harder to read. It is my personal belief that the original writings were inspired by God, perfect in every way (II Timothy 3:16-17). Modern translations are not inspired by God, but most are accurate translations of those original manuscripts which were God-inspired. Imagine a factory that had the one perfect yardstick in all the world and that factory burned down. Would the world be without a perfect yardstick? No, not as long as there were yardsticks exactly patterned after the first yardstick. The same is true with our copies of the New Testament patterned after the original manuscripts. 6.
