INSPIRING PROFESSIONALS

SCHOOLS LEADERSHIP

What we do Amid the ever-increasing challenges of today’s educational landscape, the leaders within Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) are crucial. To effectively navigate the complexities of these environments, professionals in key positions must possess a blend of educational insight, business acumen, and strategic vision. At Schools Leadership our focus is on identifying and presenting candidates who not only meet the requirements of your institution, but also align with its values and objectives. We understand the diverse skill sets required across departments and the pivotal role that non-academic positions play in overall institutional success. Leveraging our expertise and background in the education sector, we are committed to ensuring that your non-academic leadership positions are held by professionals who not only meet the job requirements, but also enhance your school’s reputation and propel it towards sustained excellence.

Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) mirror the diversity found within the school estates, communities, and geographies they serve. Schools Leadership offers a tailored and comprehensive service designed specifically for non-academic roles within MATs at both Trust and school level. Over the past decade, we have successfully completed over five hundred campaigns for educational institutions, covering a broad spectrum of non-academic positions. Our track record speaks for itself, and the Schools Leadership team has delivered exceptional candidates for roles for leading Trusts including the Girl’s Learning Trust, United Learning and The Ted Wragg Trust in the following areas: • Chief Operating Officers/ Chief Executive Officers • Director of Finance & Operations • Estates and Facilities Directors and the wider Estates Team • Governors and Trustees • Human Resources • Marketing

INCLUSIVE We believe that diverse perspectives make for better teams and better businesses. That’s why our approach to recruitment is open, fair and objective. This hasn’t happened by accident, we’re inclusive by design. We’ve undertaken Unconscious Bias training and the MRG Matrix system eliminates bias from our process. FORENSIC We are forensic in our approach to candidate assessment and analysis and are obsessed with detail. From robust briefings to exhaustive research, we look for the critical details that others may miss. We are process-driven and data-led, always searching for evidence to back up what we believe, and willing to share our learning across our global teams to ensure no insight is wasted. RELENTLESS Search and Selection is rarely easy. Being relentless is about doing the hard yards to get an assignment to the right conclusion. It’s about overcoming challenges. Ultimately, it means we are driven by enthusiasm, energy and pride in the work we do.

She joined MRG in 2012, initially working within the Higher Education team before moving over to lead on recruitment for Built Environment Project Management consultancies for eight years. In January 2022, Melanie joined the Schools Leadership team to lead on all non-academic appointments for Independent Schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. She has a real passion for the education sector and given her varied recruitment experience, she has been able to support and advise schools on their recruitment challenges and how to overcome them. In addition to recruitment, Melanie also facilitates and attends panel interviews, provides assistance with team profiling and advice on team and operational structures.
