בדרום אמריקה ישנה דאגה לגבי הצורך להסתגל לסטינג הפסיכואנליטי הקלאסי שאינו בהלימה להתרחשויות החברתיות והתרבותיות שפועלות כנגד קבלת הסטינג המסורתי. אולי ניתנת כיום חשיבות רבה יותר למושג ״סטינג״ בשל הדאגה ששינויים בתנאי הניהול של אנליזות )כגון טכנולוגיות חדשות המאפשרות נוכחות וירטואלית( יתבטאו באבדן המשמעות והחשיבות של המושג הבסיסי הזה. ביבליוגרפיה
