Inscribed by Arthur Rackham with an origi- nal drawing of South-West Wind, Esquire, one of the principal characters in the story, “To Robert Hardy / from Edyth + Ar- thur Rackham / Xmas 1932.” Original pictorial card wrappers decorated in red, orange and green, in the original matching dustwrapper. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontispiece with three further colour plates, in addition to numerous line draw- ings throughout the text. A near fine copy in a very good dust - wrapper. [43950] £1,750 South-West Wind, Esquire is a mischievous, magical character who visits the Black Brothers at the opening of the story, and marks the beginning of their misfortune.
