Edition de luxe, being number 4 of just 50 copies printed on Whatman paper with an extra suite of plates. This copy is extra- illustrated with 15 original signed watercolour illustrations by Delierre to the half-titles and sectional titles. Bound in a fine contemporary binding by Champs-Stroobants, presumably for presentation. Seventy-five plates by Delierre, each present in two states; printed on Whatman paper, and in proof state printed on chine. A fine set, the bindings exceptionally well- preserved. Internally very fresh, occasional offsetting from the proof plates. [44165] £4,500
