Young hotel manager David Frei has made this same assertion his personal mission statement. Heading up the five-star Grace La Margna hotel in St. Moritz (which opened in August 2023), Frei lost no time in choosing Elite beds for the establishment’s 74 rooms. We talked to this devotee of prestige hospitality.
Why did you choose a career in the hotel industry? It was the obvious thing to do! I originally started out studying to become a barrister, but realised that my heart actually lay elsewhere: nurturing guests’ enthusiasm through good service and managing
teams. To me, ‘service’ means much more than the service itself: it’s about creating a warm, unforgettable atmosphere for guests in which every detail contributes to an exceptional experience.
