“Show Your 4-H Colours! Go Green, Go 4-H” is the theme of the November campaign
to raise awareness of the program.

“4-H is for everyone age 9 - 21, and there is something for everyone — from cooking to
photography, from livestock to sewing, from drama to chocolate and a whole lot more,”
says association secretary Tammy Oswick-Kearney.
Currently, there are about 75 members and 25 leaders in the county.
“We are always looking for ways to increase our membership and volunteer numbers,”
says Oswick-Kearney. To celebrate 4-H month, volunteers will be putting up displays and
handing out pamphlets through schools and other venues.
The activities celebrate the far-reaching nature of this organization, the effect that 4-H
has had on others and the uniting of people—rural and urban, professional or student,
youth or young at heart—who have in some way at some time been affected by 4-H.
