PRIVATE HOMES
Contemporary Homes
Our contemporary residential work embraces innovative design while remaining deeply rooted in its context. Oxford View (pictured) exemplifies this approach - a carefully considered new build home set within the steep, wooded slopes of Boars Hill, where architecture and landscape are intrinsically linked. Responding to significant ecological and topographical constraints, the design takes cues from its surroundings. Ancient woodland, mature oak trees and protected habitats shape a sinuous form that sits lightly within the landscape, allowing the building to integrate naturally into its setting. An ‘upside-down’ arrangement places seven ensuite bedrooms at ground level, with principal living spaces above to capture expansive views towards the Oxford spires. Generous, light-filled interiors are complemented by a suite of spaces including an open-plan kitchen and dining area, cinema, gym and outdoor living areas, all carefully positioned to strengthen the relationship between inside and out. Across the wider site, a series of terraces, water features and nature-led interventions create a cohesive and environmentally responsive setting. The project reflects our commitment to contemporary architecture that enhances daily life while responding intelligently and sensitively to its environment.
