They emphasised that AI offers significant benefits but is no magic wand; there is some way to go before it can be considered a solution that fits all. Our experts highlighted the importance of integrating AI thoughtfully, ensuring it complements rather than replaces human expertise and is used pragmatically in the areas where it can be of tangible benefit. Audience and experts alike shared experiences of falling for the lure of the new, only to realise that the tech hadn’t quite caught up with the ambitions they had for its use. This underscored the necessity for payroll professionals to stay informed and keep an open
mind as AI technology continues to evolve. The day closed, as has become our tradition, with the marvellous Jo Marshall giving her UK Payroll Update. As ever, beyond these engaging sessions, the summit provided opportunities for shared ideas, networking and engagement. Our annual summit once again exceeded our expectations, thanks to the enthusiasm, energy and passion of our panellists and attendees. It was a vibrant and memorable day, which equipped attendees with the knowledge and connections needed to navigate the challenges of the year ahead in payroll with confidence.
