Trayce, who signed with the Red Sox as a Minor League free agent on February 17, 2025, played in 107 Triple-A games during the 2024 season for Syracuse (62 games) and Iowa (45 games) batting .233 with 23 HR and 66 RBI. Originally selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 2nd round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft, the California native has played in 369 Major League games with the White Sox (2015, 2018, 2023), Dodgers (2016-17, 2022-23), Athletics (2018), Cubs (2021), and Padres (2022). His brother, Klay, has played 12 seasons in the National Basketball Associ- ation, winning four NBA Championships, while his other brother Mychel also played in one NBA season. Their father, Mychal, played 12 years in the NBA and won two NBA Championships.
