Van Belle went 8-2 with a 4.42 ERA along with 87 strikeouts in 93.2 innings in 30 games (9 starts) for the WooSox in 2024. He was especially effective after moving from the starting rotation to the bullpen as he posted a 2.90 ERA as a reliever during the second half of the season. The Florida native was signed by the Red Sox as a non-draft- ed free agent in 2020 from the University of Miami, FL. In 2024 he tied for the lead among Red Sox minor leaguers in both starts (25) and wins (11), and paced the system in innings pitched (141.1) between Portland (14 games) and Worces- ter (13 games).
