Uberstine joined the WooSox from Double-A Portland on May 15, 2025 and became a valuable member of the Worcester pitching staff both as a starter and reliever. He was Boston’s 19th round choice in the 2021 First-Year Player Draft. The Santa Monica, CA native originally went to USC but was cut from the varsity team his sopho- more year and spent the next two years pitching for Northwestern Universi- ty. Tyler missed all of 2023 following Tommy John surgery and most of 2024 as well before joining Greenville (A+) in August.
