Nick Kuchwara Athletic Trainer Nick Kuchwara is back for his third year in Worcester. He joined the WooSox in 2023 after serving as Double-A Portland’s Head Athletic Trainer in 2022. This is his 11th season as an Athletic Trainer in the Red Sox organization. He previously served as an Athletic Trainer for the former Lowell Spinners (short-A) in 2015, as well as for Single-A Salem from 2016-2020, Single-A Greenville in 2021, and Portland in 2022.

A Colorado native, Nick received his B.S. in Athletic Training from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2012 and went on to receive his M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration in Rehabilitation Sciences from California University of Pennsylvania in 2013. Nick LaRue is the new WooSox Strength & Conditioning Coach for 2025. He takes over for Joe Hudson who was promoted from Worcester to Boston this past off-season and will be the Red Sox Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2025. LaRue was formerly a member of the Houston Astros Minor League system as their strength & conditioning coach for three seasons with stints in the Florida Complex League and with the Single-A Asheville Tourists in 2024. A Westfield, NJ native, Nick graduated from Temple University’s College of Public Health; School of Sport, Tourism and Hospitality Management with a BS, kinesiology and exercise science in 2018 and a MS, sport business in 2022. His objective is to physically prepare WooSox players to compete at the highest level of professional baseball. He routinely employs technology using data from force plate analysis to monitor physical performance and objectively assess how effort in the weight room is translating on the field. Insights gleaned are used to manage players’ workloads and identify key areas for improvement.
