Birthplace: Chester, VA Age: 28 (turns 29 on December 22) The former Kansas City Royal was signed by the Red Sox as a Minor League free agent in November of 2024. He spent the first seven years of his pro career in the Royals’ system and appeared in 72 games with KC from 2022-23. A former position player and pitcher with Virginia Military Institute, Nate led the majors in arm strength in 2022 (98.1 MPH) and ranked in the 96th percentile in sprint speed (he stole 27 bases for Triple-A Omaha in 2024).
