Birthplace: San Fernando de Apure, VZ Age: 22 (turns 23 on December 11) On May 20, 2025 the Boston Red Sox transferred outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia from Double-A Portland to Worcester. Pronounced JOES-tin-son, the unusual spelling of his first name has earned him the nickname “The Password”. The 22-year-old Venezuelan is already in his 5th profes- sional season since the Red Sox signed him as an international free agent in July of 2019. He was added to Boston’s 40-man roster this past off-season. Garcia impressed with the WooSox both at the plate (11 HR in his first 44 games) while playing outstanding defense in center field.
