Luis made his big league debut with the Red Sox on Septem- ber 8, 2024 and put together an impressive career-opening streak of 9 consecutive games without allowing an earned run to end the year (10 innings). He was superb out of the WooSox bullpen in 2024 with 79 strikeouts in 54.1 innings to rank 4th among Triple-A pitchers in SO/9 IP (13.09). Selected by Boston in the 17th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, Guerrero was born in the Dominican Republic but moved to Boston (near Franklin Park) as a child and grew up idolizing Do- minican Red Sox starts like David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and Pedro Martinez.
