Hickey spent the bulk of the 2024 season with the WooSox playing 86 games and starting as a catch- er, at first base (for the first time in his pro career), and as the DH. He ranked 2nd among all Red Sox Minor League players with 81 walks. Nathan was an Eastern League All-Star in 2023 when he hit 15 HR for Double-A Portland. The Florida native was selected by the Red Sox in the fifth round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Florida where he predominately played third base.
