The versatile switch-hitter made his Major League debut on August 2, 2024 and had hits in each of his first four games with the Red Sox. He batted .273 in 31 games for Boston last season after hit- ting .283 with 13 HR & 59 RBI in 96 games for the WooSox. During his pro career he has played ev- ery position except for pitcher and catcher. Nick was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays on Febru- ary 17, 2021 along with C Ronaldo Hernandez, for pitchers Jeffrey Spring and Chris Mazza. “Sogie” is the nephew of former Major League players Steve Sax and Dave Sax and his cousin Eric had an 11- year Major League career with five teams.
