Golf

•The no mow areas on the golf course are by design. They are not marked as hazards so any ball that enters a no mow area and is not found is a Lost Ball. While playing your round, if you stroke a ball into the no mow areas, play a Provisional Ball to help with the pace of play. •Though the grass in the now mow areas is shorter during the spring, it is not intended for golf cart traffic. You may enter now mow areas in search of a ball, but please DO NOT drive golf carts into these areas. •Please observe the golf cart rules for the day. Every effort will be made to maintain the 90º cart rule as often as possible. However, when carts are restricted to paths, keep all wheels on the paths. •The new fairways at Arlington are Patriot Bermuda grass. When taking a divot please fill the divot with sand. There is no need to replace the divot as it will die. The grass will fill-in within a few days. •Please be sure to repair your ball marks on the green as a couple others at the same time. A properly repaired ball mark will keep our greens looking spectacular all season. All golfers at ANCC are expected to dress in a manner that reflects the decorum and good taste of current or traditional golf attire when using any of the golf facilities. Clothing items such as denim jeans or denim skirts (any color), frayed or cut-off shorts, athletic or tennis shorts or skirts, spandex biking shorts, gym shorts, sweat suits, warm-up suits tennis dresses, tee shirts, halter tops and tank tops are NOT considered appropriate golf attire. For men, tucked in collared or mock turtlenecks shirts are appropriate.

Course reminders As spring slowing creeps out of that long cold winter the golf season is getting into full swing. As we get started this season our Arlington and Fairfax golf staff asked to remind everyone of a few things:
