CELESTE DARIAN ROSENCRANCE & ROBERT MICHAEL BORCKY JR. CARLISLE, PENNSYLVANIA | 4.20.19

celeste and rob met when both attended west virginia university. They lived close to one another, and would walk to campus together each day. Rob, a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and Celeste, originally from Flemington, moved to Memphis and then to Chicago after graduation. The couple still traveled to Morgantown often to attend football games and to visit family and friends. Rob planned something special during one of these trips. He arranged for a private proposal at one of the couple’s favorite local spots: The Apothecary Ale House. They each ordered their usual before Rob proposed, and Celeste enthusiastically accepted. The couple chose Linwood Estate in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, as the setting for their wedding. The bride wore a comfortable, form-fitted dress made of ivory-colored silk and sheer white lace with accents of flowers, beads, and pearls. She carried a loosely arranged bouquet of pale blue and pale purple flowers hand-tied with cascading greenery. Celeste was escorted to the altar by her father to the song “Dearly Beloved,” featured in one of the pair’s favorite video games—Kingdom Hearts. They exchanged vows and sealed them with a kiss that included a graceful dip of the bride by her new husband. The couple loves electronic dance music, and that genre set the stage for the whole celebration. Music played late into the night, and friends and family enjoyed an evening of dancing with glow sticks. The couple carved a white wedding cake decorated with a purple-tiered lace design and fresh flowers matching the bride’s bouquet. Guests were treated to pepperoni rolls and Herr’s potato chips—nods to the couple’s roots. The couple enjoyed a brief honeymoon in Chicago. They currently reside in Oak Park, Illinois, where Celeste is a Ph.D. student at Northwestern University and Rob works as a complex controller for International Paper Company.
