Lambeth Villager May 2025

That’s a Wrap on the 2024/25 Lambeth Minor Hockey Season! by the Minor Hockey Association of Lambeth What a fantastic year it’s been for Lambeth Minor Hockey! Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Nick Suzuki U7 Jamboree returned bigger and better for its second year. On March 29, 310 young players from across Southwestern Ontario and the GTA laced up their skates and hit the ice in Lambeth, proudly hosted once again by the Minor Hockey Association of Lambeth. A total of 28 teams, made up of enthusiastic mini-hockey players aged 4 to 7, took to the rink to showcase the skills they’ve developed throughout the season. The ice was divided into two fast-paced playing areas, creating non-stop action that kept players engaged and families cheering from the stands. Off the ice, the event was just as exciting. Families enjoyed breakfast and lunch, browsed local vendors, and checked out an impressive Nick Suzuki memorabilia display and sale. Events like this do more than bring the community together—they play a crucial role in supporting skill development programs within the organization and help introduce the game to the youngest members of our community. A huge thank you goes out to the Lambeth Lions Club and all the volunteers who helped make the day such a success – especially those who kept players and fans well-fed and energized! Looking ahead, the landscape of minor hockey is evolving. With the Ontario Hockey Federation’s decision to remove residential boundaries for U10 and above beginning next season, there are now even more opportunities for Lambeth players to pursue higher levels of hockey. As the game continues to grow and change, Lambeth Minor Hockey is committed to staying ahead of the curve to provide the best experience possible for our athletes and their families. We’re incredibly proud of all our Lambeth teams for their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship this season. As always, we’ll be recognizing player achievements and celebrating our incredible volunteers during the MHAL Annual General Meeting this May.

Registration for the 2025/26 season opens in mid-May, following our Rep team tryouts. Lambeth Minor Hockey offers both competitive and recreational programs for boys and girls aged 4 to 21.
