CAPACITY

SPONSOR A ROOM Annually, we invite companies to sponsor a room at $5,000. At $86 per night to house a survivor, sponsoring a room is critical to safe nights of rest and access to services in our Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program. Sponsoring one of our 32 shelter suites and 29 onsite apartments for a year allows us to create a home for survivors, their kids, and their pets in a dignified, healthy and safe living space. 2 GIFTS & GRANTS More than half of Sojourner Center’s budget is funded through generous community gifts and grants. Your company could help Sojourner Center fulfill our greatest needs with gifts or grants for general operations, program support, and capital improvements. Your generosity would provide lifesaving support to survivors, their children and their pets. 1

COMMUNITY

HOST A FUNDRAISER Your company can make an impact in your community by hosting an event to raise awareness and financial support for our programs. We are open to your creative ideas for in-person or online fundraisers and will work with you on ways we can support your efforts. 2 EMPLOYEE GIVING Boost team morale, strengthen workplace values and connect employees to a shared purpose of creating positive change. By hosting giving campaigns or allowing employees to give a portion of their paycheck, your team can help survivors rebuild their lives. 1

VOLUNTEER AS A GROUP Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to strengthen bonds while making a lasting contribution. Your team could help organize donations, beautify our campus and rooms or assist with on campus events.

4 HOST A DONATION DRIVE Donations of goods are crucial to creating a safe and welcoming environment in our Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Program. Hosting a donation drive company-wide or within a specific team allows everyone to come together and support survivors with their everyday needs. 5 Support & BUILD COMMUNITY Apply to be a part of our Advisory Committee, which plays a pivotal role in advancing our mission by connecting Sojourner Center to a broader network of individuals, corporations, resources, and influence. The committee is the highest leadership-level volunteer opportunity for individuals at Sojourner Center with the purpose of developing resources, increasing awareness and strengthening impact and reach. Since 1977, Sojourner Center has been a safe haven in Arizona. Today, we offer 134 shelter beds and 32 transitional housing apartments providing a refuge for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. We serve at least 2,000 survivors each year with a comprehensive range of services and our 24-hour hotline to support them in healing from abuse, finding safe housing and becoming self-sufficient.
