A familiar face in a far away place Wortley Village resident Bruce Parker had toured Ireland by bicycle 33 years ago. Just recently, he and his partner Jinny visited together, enjoying many of the same sites from Bruce’s original journey. They were pleased to note fellow Wortley Village resident, Emma Donoghue, recognized there in the country of her birth: “I visited the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin and was very pleased to see that novelist, screenwriter, playwright, and Wortley Village resident Emma Donoghue was well represented in a video presentation. Then, while visiting Galway, I noticed a bookstore display of her most recent work,” remarked Bruce.
