OVERNIGHT CAMP FAQS
How skilled are the campers at this overnight camp? All of our campers love soccer, but there are both Recreational and Competitive players that will attend this camp. However, they will be grouped according to their age and level of play, so that proper development is achieved. We will move players up or down group if we need to, in order to achieve this. My Child Lost Their Room Key or Caused Property Damage W e’ve updated our policy regarding room keys. No campers will receive a room key. Each floor’s Lead RA will have a master key and will lock/unlock all doors when campers are in the dormitory. If there is a specific need to open a room, the camper will be instructed to find their floor RAs. Do campers have free time to participate in non- soccer related activities? Yes! Campers have both Group Activity Time and Free Time during the full days. We will ask the campers each day during breakfast what non-soccer related activities they would like to participate in for that day’s Group Activity Time. Campers can participate in hiking, paintball (a small fee applies), soccer tennis, crafts, ultimate frisbee, nature walks, and more! They can, of course, also continue to play soccer if they wish. . My child has special dietary needs and/or food allergies. Will the camp accommodate for these needs? Yes! Covenant College and the Great Hall work very hard to provide food that caters to all needs and restrictions. View more information on what is available and what our dining experience will be.
What medical staff works at the camp, and what facilities are nearby? What if my child takes medication? We have a combination of Directors and Staff that will take care of minor injuries and who are qualified to do so. If we have any emergency situations that require more immediate and urgent care, the Directors and Staff will utilize either CHI Memorial Hospital, Parkridge Medical Center, or Erlanger Medical Center, the three closest facilities to Covenant College. If your child takes medication, please note that and all pertinent details during registration. I’m interested in sending my child to camp, but we don’t do overnights/sleepovers. Is there a Day Camp option? Yes! Players are more than welcome to make the commute to and from each day of camp if they are not staying overnight. The cost for a Day Camper is $425. Please email our Director of Camps before registering.
