Grand Canal Hotel, Dublin – Ethos Engineering delivered the full M+E design services.

Dublin-based Ethos Engineering have unveiled their ambitious expansion plans and new brand vision – “Engineering Wow”. It’s all part of the company’s “Going for Growth” objective, which includes creating a major job boost of 150 new engineering posts over the next four years, with recruitment starting now. Ethos aim to double revenues to €30 million by 2025 by restructuring the business to focus on six key areas of expertise – Data Centre Design, Urbanism, Regional, Sustainability, Digital Services (Smart Buildings) and Global Tech. Niavac helps bringSamhome toTyrone

AV specialists Niavac helped Tyrone GAA raise the bar in the squad’s triumphant preparation for the All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. As part of Niavac’s long-standing relationship with the GAA the Belfast- based systems integration specialists installed an AV project at the Tyrone club’s Performance Hub located in Garvaghey. The bespoke facility boasts nine multi-use strength and conditioning workstations, a sprinting/testing track, a nutrition station and kitchen area as well as a relaxation area. To further improve the training experience of GAA athletes, the Niavac team was tasked with installing a range of digital displays to show information and custom training plans. The installation included: four 55” Panasonic Displays in the

weights area; one 55” Panasonic display at the cardio area and another 50” Panasonic Display was also installed in the kitchen area. They also installed a PA system in the facility. This system covers the entire gym area and features multi-format media playback and Sonos connectivity. Speaking after Tyrone returned home with the coveted Sam Maguire Cup James Conlon, Managing Director for Niavac, congratulated the team on securing their fourth All Ireland Senior Football Championship. Behind the scenes at Ireland’s newNational Children’s Hospital

Jones Engineering, working closely with Arup and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has produced a virtual technical tour for CIBSE’s Young Engineers Network. This virtual tour examines the new Utility Tunnel at the National Children’s Hospital, Dublin a standout project in the career of any engineer, and the largest and most complex capital investment project ever undertaken in healthcare in Ireland. The tour introduces engineers, project managers and directors all speaking candidly about their experiences

throughout their career and in particular on the New Children’s Hospital. This is a rare chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes of one of the most technically advanced, most architecturally striking Children’s Hospitals in the world. Many of those working on the project have young children themselves and speak about how close the project is to their hearts. Their ultimate clients are the children of Ireland, and their pride in being part of the team creating this world-class facility is clear.
