Meet Your Scooper

Jared’s Mission to Make Life Brighter for People and Pets

With a love of dogs and a lifelong passion for helping others, Jared Antunez is always looking for ways to make life a little brighter for people and animals. Here at Salazar Scoops, our team is at the heart of everything we do, and Jared brings his dedication and kindness to every yard. Before Jared started with us early this year, he worked full time for DoorDash. He loved driving around, listening to his favorite podcasts and songs, but more than that, he loved bringing smiles to people’s faces. A lifelong dog lover, he was drawn to an ad for Salazar Scoops, where he knew he could work with animals and continue to help people. “The thing that I love the most about the job is anytime I get to a lawn and their dogs are out, it makes my day,” he said. “I also enjoy seeing how people’s lawns improve over time, especially when I could be there for the first appointment.”

He is especially grateful to work for a company that cares for its employees and offered him support when one of his dogs passed.

Jared has his own four-legged best friend, one of his favorite breeds, a mini Aussie named Fry, after the show “Futurama.” When he’s not scooping,

“They brought me soup and got me a framed picture of my dog,” he said. “Anthony and Ashley have been amazing bosses who always take good care of me.” Jared said he cares about doing the right thing in the moment, whether helping someone struggling with a box or picking up an extra scoop in the front yard, even when it’s not part of the job.

Jared likes listening to a wide range of music, watching superhero movies, crocheting, or enjoying his comfort food: Buldak ramen with Kewpie mayo, green onions, and tofu or Spam. Jared is happy as long as he’s surrounded by animals, but one day he would like to help people train their dogs, because many can’t afford it.

We are so proud to have Jared on our team. He’s proof that kindness to people and animals makes the world a better place.

“That’s just how my parents raised me,” he said. “If you have the ability to do something for somebody else, you should do that.”
