HudsonAlpha Research Report 2021-2022

NICK COCHRAN

Nick Cochran, PhD, is a faculty investigator at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology. Research Focus His work focuses on genomic approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. He and his lab aim to better under- stand genetic changes that contribute to the development and progression of neurodegenerative diseases, as well as those that may increase an individual’s risk of disease. Expertise Genetics, genomics, neurobiology, neurodegenerative diseases Lab Members Computational Biologist: Jared Taylor Postdoctoral Scientist: Rebecca Hauser, PhD Research Associates: Erin Barinaga and Sam Bartley

M y lab uses genomic approaches to better understand neurodegenerative diseases, which we hope will lead to new approaches in diagnosis and treatment. Our end goal is to make discoveries that will improve the lives of those affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

GREG COOPER
