Alternative Sentencing

Assistance Program

(A.S.A.P.)

A.S.A.P. is the Alternative Sentencing Assistance Program by Lifeworks Substance Abuse Services. We provide rehabilitation services to defendants charged with drug and alcohol-related offenses. The program’s objective is to provide an alternative to jail time for charges of DUI, possession and other drug-related charges. Drug Court has proven to be a successful alternative to incarceration but, unfortunately, many offenders may not qualify, our aim is to fill that need. Treatment offers the best alternative for interrupting the drug use/criminal justice cycle for offenders with drug problems. Untreated substance using offenders are more likely to relapse into drug use and criminal behavior, jeopardizing public health and safety and taxing criminal justice system resources. Additionally, treatment consistently has been shown to reduce the costs associated with lost productivity, crime, and incarceration caused by drug use. Lifeworks Alternative Sentencing Assistance Program includes: Individual and Group Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Anger Management, Dual Diagnosis Treatment, Smart Recovery, 12-Step Meetings, Aftercare Planning, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Court Liaison Representative, Affordability, Aftercare program and ongoing support. Most insurance plans accepted and conveniently located in Port Charlotte, Florida. Experienced Resource for Attorneys We are committed to being a resource for attorneys, defendants and their family members throughout the recovery process. Our operations manager as court liaison is the bridge between your law firm and the clinical staff to provide: Court reporting to the Department of Corrections,Therapeutic progress reports, Drug testing results, Aftercare plans, and any additional information required by the court.

treatment consistently has been shown to reduce the costs associated with lost productivity, crime, and incarceration caused by drug use.

ASAP can also be used in combination with our CMA Program which empowers our Clinical staff to remotely command BAC tests to both individuals and groups. Staff can command tests on demand, on a random basis, or on a fixed schedule. The staff is automatically alerted to out-of-compliance results – via the management platform, SMS, and email. The system is affordable for clients, costing significantly less than other commonly used monitoring technologies. Easy to deploy and use, it can be up and operating in a single day. This program is also available without the remote blood alcohol monitoring as a compliance program for clients with substance abuse issues that need monitoring and assistance. We provide individualized treatment plans specifically tailored to the individual with an emphasis on gaining the tools necessary to overcome addiction to drugs or alcohol and becoming a productive member of the community. Outpatient Program

Outpatient Program Treatment designed to meet the needs of individuals who suffer from a substance use disorder and would like weekly counseling, but don’t need Intensive Outpatient or Residential care. The program provides one on one counseling weekly and weekly group meetings in a supportive group setting. Participants attend for usually twelve to sixteen weeks. This level of care is appropriate for those who have moderate to severe alcohol and or substance abuse issues and those who are experiencing high-stress life circumstances that make it more difficult to cope with urges and cravings to use substances. Abstaining from alcohol and drug use is just the beginning of the healing and recovery process. Services include • Intake assessment and evaluation • Individualized plan of care • Group therapy • Individual therapy (one on one counseling) • Family involvement • Continuing care planning and referral

The Outpatient program is for those individuals who are able and willing to commit to a structured program that requires regular attendance and active participation. We understand that each person in this program comes with very diverse issues and problems. We are sensitive to everyone’s needs, personality, communication style, readiness to change and personal preferences. We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes into consideration these preferences within the structure and guidelines of the intensive outpatient treatment program. We also offer DUI required outpatient treatment.

Outpatient treatment may be a good option if: • You can’t or don’t want to quit work or take a leave of absence. • You want to be close to loved ones. • You can stay away from drugs or alcohol where you live. • Inpatient treatment is too expensive. For Outpatient treatment to work well for you, it’s important to go to your sessions regularly and also get other support, such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Having support from loved ones, good transportation, and a stable place to live also are important. At LifeWorks! extended drug recovery programs, Relapse Prevention, Personal Development and Family Support counseling, IPN (Impaired Program for Nurses) approved Program for Nurses are also available. This level of care is appropriate for those who have moderate to severe alcohol and or substance abuse issues and those who are experiencing high-stress life circumstances that make it more difficult to cope with urges and cravings to use substances.

LifeWorks! BAC Monitoring Compliance Monitoring and Assistance Program (CMA) A more effective approach to modifying behavior

Most physicians and clinics have very limited treatment options for helping alcohol-addicted clients modify their behavior. Often and in-office breathalyzer tests aren’t enough to reinforce sober habits. Courts and Probation Offices and Family Members have had limited options for affordable monitoring as well. This program is also available without the remote blood alcohol monitoring as a compliance program for clients with substance abuse issues that need monitoring and assistance. LifeWorks! Compliance Monitoring and Assistance Program (CMA) is a game changer Our system elevates the standards of both treatment and cost- effectiveness. Lifeworks Substance Abuse Services finally gives the means to better treat and monitor alcohol- addicted clients. It bridges the gap between testing and accountability –combining industry-accurate Bluetooth® technology with a simple, easy-to-use smartphone app, that gives the ability to test clients – anywhere, anytime – and instantly see their results

Delivering an array of advantages, our system provides certainty of compliance technology: • Remote Blood Alcohol Monitoring: Monitor subject’s BAC with a state of the art Bluetooth breathalyzers. • Active GPS Monitoring: 24/7 GPS tracking with inclusion/exclusion zones and curfew monitoring. • Violation Alerts: All violations are sent immediately via text messages (SMS) or Email • Court and Event Reminders: Remind subjects of important events automatically to reduce failure to appear rates. • Video Verification: Industry leader in subject identification and detection of device tampering. • Incentives & Sanctions: Provide a wide range of resources to subjects while reinforcing positive behavior automatically with our robust incentive and sanction programs.
